INTRODUCTION

The artistic production Alberto Zampieri started in 1997, during his academic studies.
Thanks to_____ and his personal approach to the aesthetic of Art, he developed and materialized the objective and subjective universe of the possible but even contradictory realities, playing with the ‘game of opposites’.
Philosophical al psychological studies were a source of inspiration for him to produce artworks made of different materials like marble, velvet and the varnish of 1999.
In addition to this, another benchmark of Alberto Zampieri is the dreamlike dimension. All his following production comes out from this dimension, a specific production that had its starting point in the artwork “Sitting woman with stick” of 1999 and that is still continuing.
It’s a succession of works defined “Surreal Matter” that lead to the use of glass in “Surrealight” and landed in 1999 to a sort of performance filmed in the atelier in Via Sogaretto, Salzano, and then showed in his first solo exhibition in Villa Errera in Mirano (Ve).
The chronological sequence of Alberto Zampieri’s artistic production is important to comprehend the absurdity of objective reality expressed by paintings, sculptures, glass and performances; and it is important also to comprehend how free and strong is the expressive force of this versatile artist.
